Textile Development Engineer / Product Designer
We are working with a solid (100 years) and growing company with a long tradition of combining quality and innovation into its narrow fabric products including woven webbing, tapes, specialty fabrics, braiding, conductive and e-textiles, 3D composites and woven products. The company works within the military, aerospace, safety, healthcare / medical device, commercial and industrial markets including high-performance fibers such as aramids (Kevlar, Nomex, etc.).
Due to growth, the company is looking for a Textile Development Engineer / Product Design Engineer to be located in their Pennsylvania HQ and offers a competitive salary and benefits.
As part of the development team, the Textile Development Engineer / Product Designer will participate in overall product strategy development, manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products, conduct market research and identify/track market trends, produce competitive analysis, work on narrow woven development projects driven by the sales team, market initiatives, customer needs, etc., assist in various process improvement projects to improve cost, quality, cycle time, etc.
- Up to 5 (or greater than) years of experience in woven narrow fabric development, engineering, or design
- Degree in textiles or relevant experience in developing narrow woven fabrics
- MS Office Suite proficiency
