Sales Representative, Polypropylene
Our client is a multi-billion-dollar international company with a sales and production network of over 50 bases that span from Asia to the U.S. to Europe supplying customers in over 130 countries.
We are searching for a Sales Representative for their Polypropylene line of products. While the U.S. headquarters are in North Carolina, this position can be remote.
Required Education/Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational certification in a relevant field (Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or Product Development)
• Strategic B2B2C marketing and sales knowledge – how to position and promote PP offerings in the US market
• US PP market trend – To identify profitable and sustainable new business opportunities, and guide the company to deliver comprehensive PP resin solutions for customers
• Understanding of global sourcing matrixes and sourcing trends
• Strong understanding of PP manufacturing and technology
• Preferably broad understanding of sustainability

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Flexibility to travel frequently key markets and sourcing regions. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. Possibility to spend the hours to speak with international organizations and customers.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and Implement Strategic Marketing Plans for the company’s performance PP/DH portfolio for Global Polypropylene Market
• Define and implement Global Marketing Plan aligned with HQ Strategy to increase reputation of company and to grow sales of Polypropylene
• Gather and prioritize market point of view, identify customer requirements and define the vision and strategy
o Understand value chain, Chemical market trends and market dynamic impacting Global Petrochemical Industry
o Conducts new business development in new segments and end use applications
• To define marketing plan for each markets/segments, conduct joint development and promotional activities with strategic partners to gain downstream specification
o Define and develop the Marketing Strategy for US markets, segments, and Key Customers
o Plan and manage the US PP sales performance
o The market research, to develop point of view and assess partnership opportunities at Brands and Retailers for US Markets
• Drive sales and marketing in collaboration with the matrixed Sales and Marketing Teams through Key Account Management and regional execution plans. This includes identifying growth opportunities for specialty PP (such as Automotive, Pipe, Medical and Film industry) by defining sourcing matrixes of target customers
• Collaborate with the HQ Marketing Team to develop and maintain pricing strategies
• Lead the innovation process in response to market insights and retail opportunities or pain points. Guide HQ Marketing and R&D team to deliver innovative and sustainable products for Brands and Retailers, which includes suggestions throughout commercialization, reinforcement, and enhancement
• Collaborate with Product Manager to develop the commercialization plan for new products including the development of strategic positioning, messaging for products and launch tools
Lead and Manage Marketing Plans for Global Brands and Retailers:
• Identify opportunities to position companies PP products for delivering value to target customers
o Develop relationship with customers in target markets
o Communicate new PP development needs in accordance to brands/retailers
o Maintain profitable specification/nomination of existing business in line with Commercial Plan
• Build a strategic partnership with key target customers
Development and Implementation of Marketing Plans for Key Accounts:
• Define and Execute Marketing Plan for Key target brands and retailers aligned with HQ
• Define Strategic Partners to conduct joint development and promotional activities
Market Research and definition of Point of View for future business planning:
• Define and communicate industry trends and new product needs for each end applications to direct new product development, playing an active role in New Product Development (VOC, pricing, VIU, marketing)
• Identify and Report competitive product, pricing, and marketing activities
