Product Integrity Manager

This US Owned company has been around for over 50 years. They provide top quality outwear and gloves to the workwear industry. They offer full benefits package and eventually a Hybrid office environment. In the  beginning, you will need to be in five days a week. They are located 70 miles North of Atlanta.

We are looking for a person that has a background in Quality and Testing. They are used to working with 3rd Party Testing Companies. We are looking for a background in Textiles and preferably Apparel, but not mandatory. We would like to see some background in leadership, but not mandatory. You will be over the Quality Supervisor and the Repair Supervisor, about seven people in total. We are looking for 5+ years of experience. Base salary + 15% bonus plan.

We are looking for a Product Integrity Manager to oversee the daily quality operations and continue to uphold the strong reputation for Quality, Durability, and Value that our customers have come to expect. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of apparel and textile manufacturing processes as well as quality assurance techniques. This role will have a strong influence in product development by acting as the primary coordinator of quality data and customer feedback. • Execute the Quality milestones of the New Product Introduction process, including Product Integrity Review Board reviews throughout development and sample signoffs
• Manage the relationship with 3rd party services, including testing and auditing, and translate outputs into corrective actions or product enhancements
• Maintain the library of global regulations, standards, and test methods and ensure that any new requirements are communicated to Product Development in a timely manner
• Work with Global Resource Development to qualify new suppliers
• Develop and maintain internal Quality Control Specifications, or general requirements of all products, including a Restricted Substance List (RSL)
• Act as the primary coordinator of customer feedback into both the development cycle and toward improvement of existing products
• Utilize analytical tools to identify trending quality issues from a variety of data sources
• Formulate suggestions for product enhancements based on available data and work with Product Development to execute
• Review product labels and similar materials for acceptability and compliance with relevant regulations: Textile Fiber Rule, Care Labeling, EN compliance, etc.
• Manage the Quality Operations teams (Auditing/Returns/Repairs) through day-to-day challenges and identify ways to help improve their efficiency
• Manage Quality Operations metrics and KPIs to ensure alignment with company growth strategy
• Identify tools or equipment necessary to improve quality and product integrity
• Connect with relevant industry groups such as the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) to stay up to date on industry challenges and the regulatory landscape

Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in textile or related engineering, or a combination of equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an apparel or textile technical role
• Experience in a management/supervisory role is a plus
• Knowledge of textile/apparel manufacturing processes, testing and quality assurance techniques
• Familiarity with product inspection techniques, AQL sampling
• Experience with advanced excel techniques, Power BI, Tableau or related programs
• Experience with product safety regulations and testing methods, ASTM, EN, ISO, AATCC, and translating into internal requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 20%
