Sales Manager – Inside Sales

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager/Inside Sales to join their dynamic team in California.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Sales or related industry
  • Experience in Inside Sales and Project Management
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment servicing: Aerospace, Defense, DCMA, Medical and Industrial
  • Preferred familiar with government procedures like WAWF, DD250
  • Understanding of Aerospace and Military solicitation and contract review
  • Experience with Govspend, Logicquest or other similar type government solicitation programs
  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus
  • Experience leading a sales team
  • Able to understand key performance indicators, such as financial, technical and quality
  • Some travel required
  • High level of engagement with Engineering and Quality department to support product realization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical topics in a simple and meaningful manner
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015)
  • Experienced with ERP systems (Epicor)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of his/her respective department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Partner with sales teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up to date on industry news
  • Responsible for maintaining Sales Playbook and Boiler Plate correspondence
  • Responsible for assisting in developing sales strategies and sales forecasting
  • Responsible for annual communication with Customers on Sales Forecast and Price Increases
  • Review sales opportunities
  • Approves sales opportunities for further pursuit
  • Ensures sales team has all required information to support review process
  • Liaison between sales team member and supporting departments
  • Follows-up with sales personnel for items or information in pursuit
  • Responsible for delivering top and bottom-line sales goals and results
  • Ability to motivate individuals with excellent communication skills, incredible relationship-building abilities, and a natural talent to lead
  • Lead and direct the sales team to make sure they meet and exceed sales revenues
  • Establishes performance and stretch goals for internal and external sales personnel, monitors performance on a continual basis
  • Ensures compliance with sales team with required standards for maintaining CRM data which requires accurately recording all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, closed sales and follow-up activities
  • Ensure Sales team adheres to company policies, procedures and business ethics (VALUES)
  • Forge effective working relationships with inside sales, engineering, quality and operations in order to successfully champion customer interests
  • Other related duties as assigned by Supervisor
