Production Manager

Our client is a privately owned company that has been in business for over 45 years. As a leader in the premium wholesale “blanks” apparel industry, they have distribution centers across the United States and average roughly 3 million units sold per month. They are mill-direct, having exclusive partnerships with several overseas factories which allows them to have an extremely efficient operation with low turnaround time.

As the Production Manager, you will help lead a complex, multi-national production. You will usher the garments through the entire production lifecycle. This includes managing the TNA, WIP, and identifying risks while clearly communicating with stakeholders. We seek a production manager with excellent project and process management skills and a solid track record demonstrating technical understanding and sound business judgment.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in knit production and 3 years of project management or operations management

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain front production office operations as a neat and orderly environment
  • Create and maintenance of tech pack and technical data sheets
  • Management of the TNA and PO’s
  • Troubleshot quality and technical issues with factories, mills, vendors and team
  • Ensuring the SOP of onboarding of new vendors and our compliance are being achieved
  • Update vendor files for vendor profiles, certifications, factory licenses and code of conduct
  • Track and manage negotiate quotes and sales requests to aid in efficient product distribution processes
  • Schedule and attend fittings and advised about risks for delivery/cost issues due to design changes
  • Private label tracking and ensure on time delivery with TNA tracking updating stakeholders of any changes
  • Receive and log fit samples and inspect all Top of Production (TOP) samples
  • Creation and maintenance of master color standards libraries
  • Fabric management
  • Quality control management at our USA facilities and overseas SOP being followed
  • Management of debt memos
  • Cost sheet management

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Sales team commination
  • Assist tracking on time deliveries
  • Executive Management communication
  • Assist in and directional new styles based upon upcoming style requirements for the markets served
  • Assist in shipment planning and ensuring all procedures are adhered to
  • PO Accuracy assurance
  • Cost Negotiations supported by supervisor
