Product Engineer, Technical Textiles

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer of coated and non-coated, woven and nonwoven Industrial Textiles and other engineered solutions used in a variety of industrial and manufacturing applications. They manufacture high-end, precision-engineered products that are sold into aerospace, energy companies, high tech and other diversified markets. They are part of a publicly-owned, financially strong company that’s been in business for over 100 years! This division does over $100MM in sales annually and are growing leaps and bounds! The company has made recent significant investments in the business and growth expectations are expected to double or triple!

We are searching for a Product Engineer in Technical Textiles to design new products and manage the life-cycle of existing products/components in order to meet customer requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective manufacturability, whether manufactured internally or externally, you will support the operations team with engineering, technical knowledge, and decisions regarding the products and processes used for their manufacture.
You will manage product quality and regulatory compliance for assigned product lines and work in collaboration with all appropriate disciplines and cross functional teams. This role reports into the Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years Product Design experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience required. Experience in technical textiles in industrial manufacturing preferred. This role requires a strong independent person with a technical acumen. This is a very hands-on position designed for an early/mid-career candidate.
