Wet Processing Manager

This is a US owned company, family owned, growing Textile Mill. They are a woven operation with under 100 employees. The offer full benefits and a 401K plan. Will help on relocation.

The Wet Processing Manager will be expected to plan and execute the production activities and control the quality production with related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all daily functions within Dyeing / Finishing / Sanforizing
• Analyze test data and make, on the run, adjustments to maintain shade or physical requirements
• Responsible for shade control, quality, establishing dye and finishing procedures, production, safety and technical parameters of the department
• Manage quality of dye and finishing runs and ensure necessary adjustments are made to meet specifications
• Ensure appropriate training and resources are available to employees within the department
• Maintain color standards and adjust dye formulations according to match specifications
• Monitor and order dyes and chemicals based on production
• Troubleshooting
• Write reports and document procedures

Skills:
• Working knowledge of textile chemistry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision making skills, and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities, organize, set priorities, and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility
• The ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
• The ability to use a high degree of tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with people
• Take initiative and make decisions within context of work
• The ability to distinguish between similar colors and shades

Experience/Education:
• BS in related field (preferred)
• Working experience in textile industry (required)
• 5+ years’ supervisory experience (preferred)
• Functional hands-on experience and mechanical understanding of textile equipment used in production of dyeing and finishing fabrics
• Computer proficiency and working knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
