Weave Room Superintendent

This is a US owned company, family owned, growing Textile Mill. They are a woven operation with under 100 employees. The offer full benefits and a 401K plan. Will help on relocation.

The Weave Room Superintendent will be responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and controlling of resources to achieve success in the Weaving Department.

Key Responsibilities:
• “Hands-on” management of all daily Weave Room functions
• Lead the Weave Room in metrics related to the day-to-day operations within the department (i.e., safety, quality, waste, productivity, cost reductions)
• Communicate with, develop, and consistently manage employees within the department
• Provide technical support and training to Loom Technicians
• Ensure appropriate training and resources are available to Weave room employees
• Research & selection of alternative spare parts and suppliers
• Construct and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program
• Order and maintain weaving spare parts room and inventory
• Prepares shift for job assignments, production scheduling, projects, and standard work
• Administrative responsibilities (Workforce, Attendance, Corrective Discipline, Correspondence, Production Entries, Inventory, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision making skills, and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities, organize, set priorities, and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility
• The ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
• The ability to build trusting relationships and use a high degree of tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with people

• Formal training in textiles (preferred)
• Working experience in textile Weave Room (required)
• 5+ years’ supervisory experience (preferred)
• Computer proficiency and working knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
