Product Manager, Hospitality
Location: Greater North Chicago Area
Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer of hard goods and soft goods for the Commercial Home Textile and Hospitality industry. They’re a $200MM/yr. company that’s headquartered in the Greater North Chicago area. They are privately owned, financially strong and have been in business for 105 years! They manufacture a variety of products such as furniture covers, pillows, bedding, window covers and more and they also make hard goods such as curved shower curtain rods, soap dishes, ice buckets, waste baskets, etc. They have a great cohesive team in place and are looking to add more personnel. This is a growing company in and a growing division and they’re offering full benefits and matching 401K.
We are searching for an experienced Product Manager in their Hospitality Division to provide strategic market research and analysis, product strategy and lifecycle management, costing, pricing and promotional roadmap, and new product development and launch plans to help meet business growth and profitability markets. You will set the strategic direction for markets and product portfolios and act as the central communication point for sales, R&D, technology and operations. This role reports to the General Manager of Hospitality defining existing and target markets and will act as a central “go to” person to coordinate and execute products and market development strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with at least 3 years owning a product line in commercial textiles and home décor. You must be able to own and understand manufacturing processes, have relationships with and/or be able to work with and manage suppliers in China and be able to develop costing and pricing models. You should also have Product Management experience in the hospitality industry designing hard and soft goods for the hospitality industry. Bilingual in Chinese and English a plus but not required. You should be flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
