Polymer Process Manager
Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
• Works closely with customers and teams to understand profitable innovation opportunities
• Supports solution definition through clarification of key functional requirements and related performance measures
• Leverages polymer processing fundamentals to benefit novel resin designs and technology approaches
• Establishes capable and efficient R&D workflows to accelerate prototype evaluations Leverages statistical and simulation/modeling tools to ensure efficient experimental approaches and analysis to accelerate learning
• Builds world class teams through developing existing and attracting new talent to meet business needs
• Ensures we have the most effective and reliable processing equipment to meet innovation schedules and agenda
• Remains current with latest polymer process technology and equipment trends including Digitalization
• Captures and processes IP opportunities to protect technology and competitive advantage
• Supports knowledge capture and organizational knowledge growth via effective data summaries, reports, and presentations
• Follows all guidelines of the Corporate and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies by consistently performing high quality work while minimizing waste generation

Education/Skills/Experience:
• Masters in Chemical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, or similar technical field. Ph.D. highly desirable
• Credible Design for Six Sigma, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma experiences. Black Belt Certification highly desirable
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and approaches
• In depth understanding of polymer processing fundamentals, methods and equipment

• Able to lead meaningful change and process improvements
• Proficient leveraging statistical tools, modeling and simulation to accelerate learning

Polymer Engineer I
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
• Synthesize polymers at lab and pilot lab scale on a daily basis. Effectively interpret analytical results
• Contribute to polymer design and process development for polymerization and other chemical reactions
• Directly contribute to product development teams supporting resin design and manufacturing process
• Participate in generation and capture of intellectual property and stay up to date on relevant technology
• Effectively coordinate work with technical team to ensure results meet project time and quality expectations
• Provide well written documentation to ensure results translate into learnings with clarity on next steps
• Develop new synthetic methods in support of new product development and customer requests
• Identify opportunities for further improvement of existing methods and lead implementation

Minimum Qualification/Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or a similar field in which inorganic and organic chemistry was a requirement
• Experience in a synthetic research laboratory preferred. Experience with polymerization reactions preferred
• Hands-on experience in organic synthesis equipment and technique and familiarity with analytical instrumentation used for polymers, e.g., GC, HPLC, GPC, DSC, FTIR, SEM/EDX and GCMS. Preferred would be experiences where lab work delivered a result or a key learning
• Demonstrated ability to manage work and work schedules to meet program deadlines and customer needs and exhibit a sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to multitask at a high productivity level
• Must be able to work well as a team member
• Strong communication (English) and good interpersonal skills. Must have strong ethical standards
• Demonstrated ability to work with outside labs to provide non in-house testing
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word. Minitab or other statistical software preferred

Senior Polymer Processing Engineer
Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
• Leverages polymer processing fundamentals to benefit novel resin designs and technology approaches
• Maximizes statistical and simulation/modeling tools to ensure efficient experimental approaches and analysis to accelerate learning
• Drives the annual R&D capital planning and implementation processes to ensure that the most effective assets are identified to meet innovation objectives
• Manages maintenance of R&D equipment to ensure availability aligns with program schedules
• Remains current with latest polymer processing technology and equipment trends
• Captures and processes IP opportunities to protect technology and competitive advantage
• Supports knowledge capture and organizational knowledge growth via effective data summaries, reports, and presentations
• Follows all guidelines of the Corporate and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies by consistently performing high quality work while minimizing waste generation
