Operations Manager

We are searching for an Operations Manager - an experienced manufacturing leader to join this team! This position manages all aspects of our operations overseeing multiple crews in a 24 hour/7-day rotation schedule totaling approximately (150) employees. The position is responsible for all decision-making regarding aspects of safety, quality, delivery and cost. This is a high-energy position requiring a seasoned operations leader with demonstrated skills in managing and motivating people, lean manufacturing practices and driving a culture of continuous improvement. Utilization of company level data to establish and monitor performance metrics as well as lead decision making is a must.

Responsibilities:
•Manages all day-to-day operational activities
•Effectively establishes, monitors and reports department results to the operations and management staff
•Works closely with Engineering and Maintenance management to optimize the labor force to maximize throughput and machine uptime while reducing process scrap and waste
•Champions all improvement initiatives; works closely with engineers, process specialists, and line supervisors to monitor progress and assure continuous improvement
•Effective performance management of line supervisors is critical, as is coaching supervisors on personnel and operational matters. Recommends training when appropriate

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business related field required
•Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience required
•Knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
•TS 16949 and/or IS0 9001 experience preferred
•Attentive with multi-tasking capabilities to a 24 hour/7day operation is a must
•Effective communications and interpersonal skills required at all levels
•Efficient with business related software such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite required
