Technical Sales Manager

This Company is a leader both in the production of raw materials and semi-finished products (polypropylene, granules and fibers) and in finished products (technical textiles, cushion vinyl, needle felt, parquet, laminate, tuft, bath rugs and fabrics). They enjoy a major market share globally in these sectors, operating 29 production facilities, 11 sales offices and 8 distribution centers spread over 16 countries.

The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the technical sales support for all product segments.

Position Reports To: VP Sales, Marketing, Design and Business Development
Functional Working Relationships: All levels of sales, marketing, customer service, and customer base
Direct Reports: None to start, planned expansion of team includes 1-2 future employees

•Provide installation training at retail store level as well as with distributors
•Develop and edit installation documentation and instruction manuals
•Participate with our RV customer base to ensure level of training and awareness to evaluate / eliminate claims issues
•Claims management including investigation / determination of viability of claims
•Provide feedback from the field to Production, in order to proactively reduce / eliminate "claim causers”
•Provide larger project support from an installation standpoint. Act as key contact with sales and end users
•Visually document field installations, including providing photos for marketing purposes
•Ongoing sales support of the sales team for installation and product knowledge
•Act as internal installation expert for trade shows and additional company needs
•Perform additional business functions as position develops

Requirements to successfully fulfill this role include:
•10+ years of experience in same or similar role
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•Superior knowledge of technical aspects of manufacturing and installation; flooring / textiles strongly preferred
•Ability to travel as needed, estimated 60-70% minimum, nationwide
•Problem-solver, diplomat & catalyst who can motivate others to accomplish goals
•Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
