Automotive Sales Representative
Location: Detroit, MI
This exciting North American company caters to the Automotive & Transportation industry. They are a leading supplier to some of the major automotive companies in the world selling to OEM’s and Tier 1 Automotive Suppliers. The have tripled their business from $60MM to $180MM in nine years. This a privately held company where you will have interaction and access to the President of the company. Benefits. 500 employees. Reports to Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing. Purpose is to represent Company at Automotive OEM’s and tier 1’s.
•Program management is a large portion of this job
•Visit OEM’s as assigned
•Work with engineers and designers at the OEM
•Present color and grain submissions to OEM’s
•Be the conduit of information and action between customers and all facets of the operations group, e.g. Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Product Development, Finance, Credit, Design, Production
•Create and maintain timelines for activities with customers
•Assist in Product Development.
•Visit key tier 1’s
•Work with tier 1 purchasing, engineering and platform teams
•Work on cost down and profit improvement activities
•Facilitate and pursue new business opportunities
•Acquire new business
•Activities are primarily centered around Detroit, Michigan, however, travel to trim plants (tier 1’s) will require travel to Mexico and other USA and Canada locations
•Education Required: Bachelors or equivalent
•Experience Required: 5 years equivalent Industry experience.
