Territory Sales Representative

We are working with a US owned, privately held $30MM+ Technical Fiber company that’s been in business for over 40 years. They have a great team in place, are experiencing rapid growth and are looking to add people. They have a full and very generous benefit package and have very low turnover. They are making products for Industrial Threads, Military, Furniture, Canvas, Marine, Awnings, Outdoor Recreation markets and more.

We are looking for a Territory Sales Representative to handle business to business outside sales as well as potential business to customer sales, account maintenance, and technical support for industrial thread and wire and cable products of multi-divisional manufacturing company. The successful candidate should reside in Georgia to cover their GA/AL/FL region.

Essential Functions Statement:
•Grow territory from current $600,000 to $2,500,000 and beyond
•Maintain existing accounts by visiting at a minimum one time per quarter
•Develop new business with existing accounts and identify potential new accounts or new industries to provide solutions and solicit orders
•Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms and issues
•Contact existing accounts and prospective accounts to discuss new or existing product features, advantages and solicit orders
•Handle, as requested, any customer questions and/or concerns
•Provide customers and potential accounts with product samples and follow-up to ensure receipt of product and customers evaluation of product
•Identify prospective business by using business directories, trade publications, following leads from existing accounts, participating in organizations and attending tradeshows
•Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors' products, pricing and sales
•When necessary, take orders from customers and process through corporate customer service
•Perform administrative duties, such as preparing market report (Yammer)s, filing expense account reports, updating Yammer (corporate communication software) with daily logs, filling out new customer forms and any other required information necessary
•Obtain credit information and appropriate contact and company detail information on potential new accounts
•Communicate on a daily basis with Vice President, Marketing
•Communicate with manufacturing when necessary to discuss new products, availability, quality issues, etc.
•Attend tradeshows as required
•Extensive travel within the territory (up to 90%)
•Overnight travel 40% of time

•Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred
•Field of Study: Textile Engineering, sales or other textile studies

•Recent college graduate up to 12 years of experience in a textile field
•Must have an understanding of yarn and thread composition

Computer Skills:
•Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, including excel, word and outlook
•Must be able to type and use various software applications to perform job

Other Requirements:
•Must have a clean driving record and no criminal convictions

Work Environment
•Individual will establish an office in their home with company supplied phone, printer and computer
•90% of time spent on travel with 40% being overnight travel
•Company car will be provided
