Process Engineer

We're working with a global manufacturer of Papers, Films, Nets and Nonwovens used in a diverse range of Products, Applications and Industries around the world. As experts in highly engineered materials made from Fibers, Resins and Polymers, they provide solutions to make products stronger, more durable and with increased performance. We have new opportunities available for experienced Process Engineers in Nonwovens, Polymers, Extrusion or Converting. Responsibilities would include evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce costs, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
•Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers
•Develop innovative solutions
•Work close to Quality Department during investigation of Customer Complaints
•Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
•Prepare samples for study
•Perform shrinkage and strength testing
•Collect, record, and transcribe data
•Show results in reports
•Maintain testing equipment
•Perform raw material and finished goods testing
•Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process
•Provide suggestions during incident investigations
•Advise on corrective actions
•Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process
•Ensure projects are completed on time
•Ensure financial budgets are followed
•Research and purchase new manufacturing technology
Education/Certifications:
•BS in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or applicable technical discipline
•Minimum two+ years manufacturing experience
Required Skills:
•Technical knowledge of polymer extrusion and converting process
•Basic understanding of mechanical equipment
•Statistics and data analysis
•Strong problem-solving skills
•Strong mechanical skills
•Basic understanding of polymer chemistry
•Good communication skills
•Ability to work in team environment
•Ability to use problem solving skills
