Sales Consultant

This is a very exciting, young company that is an innovative Textile company that is diversified in its product line selling to Apparel companies as well as to Industrial accounts. They are a US Owned company that is employee owned and they offer great benefits and room for growth. We are looking for someone to work out of their office in the Los Angeles area. They are about 20 minutes South of LAX, near the 405 and 110 exchange. If this is not an everyday commute for you, semi remote could work as well. This is a base salary + monthly commissions. Earnings are around $70K to $90K first year, but 100% can grow from there.

The Sales Consultant position is responsible for developing new customers based on current relationships and through sourcing and maintaining and developing current customer base and maximizing their potential with our wide range of products. The Sales Consultant stays well-informed and up-to-date on product and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities
•Research and develop prospective customers into buying customers
•Know and understand customers’ business, products and needs to maximize their potential
•Field customer calls and answer questions
•Present product solutions to meet customers’ project needs
•Responsibly manage inventory as it relates to your personal accounts
•Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers
•Provide outstanding customer service
•Accurately write sales orders and quote product and freight
•Offer new product to existing customers in order to grow accounts
•Utilize Sales Assistants, Account Managers and other tools provided in order to maximize time
•Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals
•Assume additional responsibilities and/or proactively contribute to projects as needed
•Actively assist in timely collections of accounts payable
•Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
•At least 2 years of general business or sales experience, preferably in a similar role
•Fabric expertise and knowledge is required
•Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
•Sales related skills including customer service, goal orientation, negotiation, self-confidence, presentation skills and a high level of motivation
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
•Ability to prioritize, focus and manage time effectively
•Highly organized, positive attitude and high energy
•Thrives on competition and succeeding
•Ability to travel when required to visit customers and/or tradeshows
