Product Developer, Studio/Performance Wear

They are looking for a creative Product Developer for Studio/Performance Wear that is an inspired leader to join their team. The candidate’s responsibility will be to lead a team of talented individuals and ensure the product is built with integrity, intention and aligned with their brand vision and values.

The ideal candidate will have a proven product development track record in the athletic apparel industry. As the functional leader, you will participate in developing the sourcing strategy and its implementation. Additionally, your team will be responsible for product innovation that solves the problems of their consumers.

The ideal candidate will work closely and collaboratively with Design, RM R&D, PD, Tech, and Production team to create beautiful and innovative product.

•Lead the product creation process from design hand off to production
•Establish and execute the brand strategy for the apparel product to achieve financial and product integrity goals
•Collaborate with cross functional teams from Design, Tech Design, R+D, and Production to ensure on time sample delivery per set calendar
•Create and manage multi-season development calendars and lead the execution for all tasks related to the Product Development cycle
•Present recommendations to improve, course correct and capitalize on opportunities to strategy
•Responsible for Key Performance indicators that include but not limited to IMU
•Work with Sourcing on allocation of product to appropriate suppliers managing with consideration to capacity, capability and costing
•Lead processes and IT improvements/solutions to enable seasonal execution
•Lead go to market calendar that is aligned with Brand & Product Strategy
•Maintain Seasonal Line Guide Information (setup and changes) with Marketing
•Work collaboratively with in the sourcing, development, production, RM and Quality to elevate our collective performance and meet our goals

Desired Skills and Experience:
•Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
•Must have 7+ years of experience in the apparel industry, ideally in athletic apparel
•Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
•Commitment and superior attention to detail
•Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & company staff
•Strong analytical skills
•Thorough understanding of testing protocol, product integrity requirements, product cycle timeline and garment construction
•Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment
•Strong interpersonal and listening skill
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook
•Proficiency with PLM and Adobe Suite- Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
