Process Engineer

In business for over 30 years this very successful company has evolved from a traditional Textile Company into an Engineered Materials/Nonwovens business focused on highly technical, high quality products. We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer with working knowledge in roll goods of nonwovens, film, paper and/or web handling. This position offers a strong growth opportunity in a larger managerial role based on your performance. Degree preferred but not required. Very strong team in place in a nice area in North Carolina - competitive compensation, benefits program and relocation assistance!

Essential Functions:
•Issue all new and revised processes and formulations
•Supports R&D and manufacturing for process development and improvement
•Investigates, initiates, and organizes plant trials to improve quality and/or costs
•Reviews processes and machine audits, initiating actions to correct non-conformances
•Initiate and approve all costs on new and revised processes
•Play a key role in safety design, education, and awareness
•Investigate cause and resolution of off-quality, efficiency, and/or abnormal costs
•Investigate, recommend and implement processes and/or equipment improvements as needed to improve costs, quality, efficiency, and safety through process changes and/or equipment modifications
•Improve equipment reliability through management of equipment design, selection, and maintenance
•Develop and maintain equipment capability specification
•Use Project Management techniques and Open Issue Reports to manage, track, and communicate status of projects
•Initiate, justify and manage projects costs to meet timelines and budgets
