Continuous Improvement Engineer

Our client develops, produces and globally markets performance materials. These vary from Yarns and Fibers, Industrial Fabrics and Coated Fabrics to Synthetic Nonwovens, Geosynthetics and Composites. Very strong global company with a solid team and positive future ahead of them.

We have a very exciting search for a Continuous Improvement Engineer or Leader in the nonwovens/performance materials industry. You will be a leader of change and are comfortable with working with all levels of the organization.

You will:
•Assist in plant operations contributing towards improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques
•Responsible for engaging, executing and delivering cost reduction, quality improvement and cycle time reduction in the areas of line performance, yields, defect, waste reduction and other opportunities
•Utilize DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) Six-Sigma technologies, approaches, tools to isolate causes of variation and then work to apply variation and other waste reduction solutions that deliver financial and other established results

Preferred Education and Experience:
•BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related technical degree
•Six Sigma Black Belt certification and strong LEAN Manufacturing expertise
•Familiarity with Gemba process and KPI management
•5-10 years of experience in manufacturing operation
•Proven track record in leading high-performance teams and attaining results; able to quantify results
•Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes
•Proficient computer skill including M/S Office and Project Management
•Leadership Skills
•Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
•Outstanding written and oral communication skills up and down the organizational hierarchy to include cross-functional teams

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
•Knowledge in ISO9001-2015 and ISO14001 Principles
•Lean Manufacturing
•5S
•Waste reduction methods

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
•Must have valid working documents to work in the United States
•Must be able to obtain a valid passport
