Our client is a nationally known 40+ year-old Luxury Apparel and Retail brand. This company has maintained exponential growth, yet still has a warm, family run atmosphere that inspires everyone that works for them. They offer a range of luxury products within the Apparel and Home Fashions categories.

The Product Integrity Specialist is responsible for managing regulatory, physical and analytical testing protocols and processes for all products, thereby ensuring the brands, and the suppliers are compliant with all global regulatory, corporate and social responsibility protocols, as well as physical and analytical test requirements and label requirements. The PIS will be embedded in the brand to provide proactive council and guidance to internal divisions and global vendors in these matters during the development and production processes to insure the company’s products are fully compliant. The PIS would be responsible for tracking and approving all product testing and label requirements.

Functional Responsibilities:
Maintain currency with all US and Global regulations, test methods, standards, and legal requirements affecting the Product Integrity of our merchandise Implement and promote compliance to our PI requirements and SOP’s
Develop a strategy for maintaining awareness of pending and up and coming regulatory events that impact our product development requirements, testing and labeling
Partner with internal and external partners as the subject matter expert to provide guidance, council, and support on matters involving PI, beginning with product development and component selection through production execution
Be the point of contact with all outside resources relevant to PI such as testing agencies, labs, labeling and regulatory entities
Be the first point of contact on PI regulatory and testing. Provide PI training and alignment for brand CFTs, manufacturing partners and 3rd party service providers
Maintain all test protocols ensuring currency, relevance, and compliance for all product, both branded and private label
Maintain the Restricted Substance List (RSL) for all products in the brand
Analyze all failed PI test reports, reach a determination, and provide a course of action
Participate in updating the Vendor Manual. Provide guidelines, training and support to onboard new and existing vendors to any new or existing PI requirements
Manage all aspects of labeling requirements including distribution, approval and supply
Educate cross functional partners regarding PI risks as well as opportunities
Engage in staff development meetings for the purpose of knowledge transfer, cross training, and team collaboration to insure personal development and succession planning
Engage in special projects as assigned by senior management

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Integrity, Physical Testing, Sourcing, Quality Control or related fields
Must be able to analyze and evaluate products, components, and test reports
Must possess working knowledge of physical testing and lab procedures, and labeling requirements
Must be able to manage projects and work with minimal supervision
Must have good time management skills
Must have good written and verbal communications skills
Experience in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, & Outlook, Portal Operations, and other computer systems, as needed
